He won two games with the black pieces today, first against top rated FM Daniel Yeager of Pennsylvania and later against Bradley Sawyer of Texas. Gregory achieved an opening advantage in the evening contest, but let it slip between moves 36 and 38, only to have his opponent blunder on move 46.
With four of the ten rounds in the books, Gregory sits in clear 1st, a full point ahead of the field.
